Astigmatism Correcting Implant/Toric IOL

If you have astigmatism and cataracts, one intraocular lens can correct both! This astigmatism-correcting, intraocular lens (AC-IOL) is called a “toric” IOL. Conventional IOLs do not correct for astigmatism, so many patients with astigmatism who do not elect to have a toric IOL, will still need glasses for distance and near vision after their cataract surgery.
