What is MiBo Thermoflo® treatment?
The MiBo Thermoflo® is a new medical device that offers an alternative therapy for dry eye and blepharitis. In just 12 minutes per eye, the device gently massages the margins of the eyelids, using controlled heat to unclog the meibomian glands. This liquefies the secretions that block these glands, allowing the complex oils to flow freely again, restoring a healthier, more balanced tear film, which prevents tears from evaporating too rapidly.

Dry eye syndrome is one of the most common eye conditions. It can be caused by aging, inflammation of the eye, menopause, certain diseases and medications, exposure to the elements, dehydration, and laser eye surgery. While lifestyle changes can go a long way toward resolving dry eye in many patients, the MiBo Thermoflo® represents a breakthrough in the treatment of chronic dry eye.
Blepharitis is an eye condition marked by inflammation of the eyelids, generally at the edges of the lids where the eyelashes are located. While blepharitis does not usually cause any harm to the eyes, per se, its symptoms can be uncomfortable or even painful, as well as cosmetically unappealing. Common symptoms include irritation, redness, and flaky, dandruff-like patches on the eyelashes. In extreme cases, inflammation can spread to the cornea, putting vision at risk.
